Product Information

Tolaga Bay

Cashmere fibre is a fine hair which is combed from the underbelly of Cashmere goats. They produce a double fleece consisting of the fine, soft undercoat or under-down of hair mingled with a straighter and coarser outer coating of hair called guard hair.

Cashmere wool is very fine in texture, yet it is also strong, light, and soft. When it is made into garments, they are extremely warm to wear yet light-weight. The fibres are highly adaptable and are easily spun into fine or thick yarns, and light to heavy-weight fabrics.

The price of cashmere accessories varies depending on the fineness of the yarn. Grade A cashmere is, on average,18 microns thick (18 millionths of a metre, or thousandths of a millimetre) while the lesser grades can go up to 24 microns.

Falcon Coast exclusively provides the United Arab Emirates with Cashmere that is 15 microns thick and uses suppliers who are actively improving the quality of their cashmere to surpass any of the other cashmere providers who come from Northern China and Mongolia. Tolaga Bay Cashmere products are the result of 25 years of selective breeding and fine tuning which bring you an unsurpassable product in the world of luxury natural fibres.
