All fabrics are made from first grade long staple Egyptian cotton grown in the Giza region, hand picked and then woven and finished in Italy. The threads in warp and weft make a total of 600 thread counts, except Diamante, which is 1020TC. Most luxury collections are double twisted in the warp for higher sheen, durability and softer handle. Diamante is triple twisted and is considered the finest quality now woven in Italy. This also avoids the problem of pilling giving you a luxury bed linen set of heirloom quality.
Many of the yarns that Versai use can not even be used by most other manufacturers as the looms need a special balance which breaks the thread if they are too fine. Some other brands may claim to have 1000 TC bed linen but you have to handle Diamante linen to understand that even though the thread count might be the same, the handle and feel is not as wonderful.
